Life Update, Career Pivot

I studied Interactive Product and Video Game Design at university, a field I was deeply passionate about. Like many others, I believed I could find a place in the creative and technical world of game development. But the reality in Spain quickly set in, and it showed me that the industry is small, competitive, and often inaccessible without significant resources or luck.

After talking to experienced professionals and newcomers alike, and after giving my best efforts to break in, I realized I needed to rethink my path. Life circumstances and limited resources made it impossible to keep pushing toward a goal that, despite how much I loved it, was simply unsustainable for me at that time.

That’s when I turned my attention to something that had always caught my interest: Cybersecurity.

At first, I wasn’t sure if it was for me. Coming from a creative background, I had doubts. But I decided to explore it anyway, and just a few months later, I can say I’m genuinely excited again. I’ve found a discipline that motivates me, challenges me, and feels meaningful—something I can grow into and contribute to.

In these past 3 months, I’ve been studying on my own through platforms like TryHackMe, earning the “Pre Security” and “Cyber Security 101” certificates. Along the way, I’ve created over 350 pages of detailed personal notes, which I’m currently organizing and publishing through my Notion workspace. All the progress made in Notion will be notified here!

As I keep learning, I plan to focus more on offensive security and Red Teaming, and I’m preparing to take on more advanced certifications to sharpen and prove my skills.

This pivot hasn’t been easy, but it’s one I made honestly—with curiosity and a strong desire to build something new.
