UE5 Niagara VFX Gallery Video
Check out my latest video showcasing my work on Niagara in Unreal Engine 5 for the game Toonks:
I primarily created the visual effects using Niagara Systems, and turned to Photoshop for custom textures (noise, pixel, and geometric) as well as Blender for certain static meshes.
For materials (grass, shield, spawn transitions), I used Unreal Engine 5’s toolset:
- Decals and distance fields
- World offset and texture tiling
- Virtual textures
- Ribbons, sphere masks, flip-books, and post-processing
Since this is my first time making VFX, I learned a lot about combining UE5’s built-in tools and these external apps to bring stylized effects to life. Enjoy the video—sometimes a few seconds of footage can say far more than a long write-up!
